The timing is particularly significant for Rajasthan. The state has historically been one of India's most sought-after filming destinations, attracting both Indian and international productions. The Rajasthan Government's Film Tourism Promotion Policy 2025 further aims to strengthen the state's filmmaking ecosystem, generate employment and develop skilled talent.
FTIR's objective is not simply to provide classroom-based education. The institute aims to create an environment where students can learn, create, collaborate and lead through practical exposure to the complete filmmaking process.
This includes opportunities to develop skills through:
FTIR is a young and emerging institution, and it is still in the process of establishing its long-term reputation, industry partnerships and alumni network. Therefore, it would be premature to describe FTIR as an already established mainstream film institute comparable with India's long-running national film schools.
However, FTIR's vision is to build that recognition by connecting education with the real-world Film & Television ecosystem and by creating opportunities for students to work on practical projects and engage with professionals from the industry.
The institute's success will ultimately be measured not only by the number of students enrolled, but by the films they create, the professionals they become, the projects they contribute to, and the impact they make within the creative industry.
Our Vision
FTIR aims to become a talent and production ecosystem for Rajasthan's growing Film & Television sector — developing skilled storytellers and technicians while creating stronger connections between students, filmmakers, production houses and the wider entertainment industry.
From Passion to Profession. From Rajasthan to the World.
FTIR focuses on combining creative education with practical experience. Students are encouraged to learn by doing, collaborate with others and develop skills that can be applied directly to professional film and media projects.
Our approach is built around four pillars:
Learn. Create. Collaborate. Lead.
